OUR STORY

Ovenden Seeds was founded in 2005, by Gerry Ovenden. Originally based in Leeston, New Zealand, Ovenden Seeds specialised in producing high-quality seeds from a variety of hard to grow crops. As the business grew, Gerry began to supply seeds to companies across the world, including in the US, Australia, the UK, and Europe.

In 2022, Sam Reynolds took over Ovenden Seeds. Sam has has been growing a wide range of crops organically and conventionally throughout the world over the last twelve years. He was a BASIS qualified agronomist in the UK where he ran a large fresh vegetable business before coming back to New Zealand to head a large organic growing operation. Sam and his father supplied Gerry with seeds for the last seven years and he looks forward to expanding on the base that Gerry has built.

Ovenden Seeds is passionate about seeds and long term relationships with its growers and customers. We have invested in the latest seed cleaning technology to ensure that we will deliver seeds of only the highest quality.
